A Fan Base Divided

Right now there seem to be many with our club but is the fan base now becoming more divided than ever?

Over on the X platform, you will find many fans who want DC to sell up, many fans who want him to stay, and some fans are now even calling for Danny to be sacked, so are the club problems now spilling over into the fan base.

For me, the answer is yes. The issue started when DM walked away before the season started, which led to a lack of summer signings that the club district needed and the appointment of Xisco didn’t help things at all. BUT if we are honest with ourselves, the issues have been ongoing for many years. I can’t really remember any of the managers being backed in any of the transfer windows. Ticket prices have been an ongoing issue for the same amount of years and add to that the lack of investment in the club as a whole, just keeps adding to the issues.

DC has always said he is losing money and can’t invest in this or that because of restitutions but if he didn’t spend so much money hiring and firing managers, maybe we would have some money to invest in the team or other areas.

All of this is, of course, dividing the fan base, not just around the whole DC issue but all the other issues as well, ticket prices, managers, investment in the club, that state of the ground, different groups saying different things – all of this is once again, leading the fans down a rocky season which by the looks of it, will end in relegation.
